Dongyang Garden Tools Factory, the predecessor of the present Zhejiang Dongyuan Group, came into existence in 1976. The Factory specialized in producing garden tools for exporting. It was one of the exporting bases in China with the most complete specifications, and the greatest variety of goods. Its products amounted to over three hundred items which fell into eight series under the brand name ¡°GARDENEER¡±, namely, garden tools, pergolas, garden saws, garden shears, rakes, hayforks, garden tables and chairs, and imitation ancient candlesticks, all of which enjoyed a favorable reputation in the international market.
After 20 years of pioneering work, Zhejiang Dongyuan Group grew out of the Factory. It has a registered capital of 30,880,000 and a staff of 1300. And, it has under its jurisdiction, a group of factories manufacturing a wide variety of products, ranging from garden tools, plastic products, clothing, electroplating, wooden products to drinks and foodstuff.
The Group boasts strong economic strength, a favorable enterprise image as well as a reputation of honesty and reliability. It has paid a tax of over 5,000,000RMB successively since 1996, thus is one of the greatest taxpayers in Dongyang. Having been assessed by Rongda Information Consulting Co***ny of Agricultural Bank of China and expounded through peer review, it has been identified as AAA Creditworthy Enterprise for six years running. For five years in succession, it has been granted the honor of ¡°Honoring Contracts and Abiding by its Words¡± by Dongyang People¡¯s Government.
In December of 1999, approved by Ministry of Foreign Trade an Economic cooperation, the Group founded Zhejiang Jiangnan Import & Export Co .,Ltd. The co***ny deals with importing and exporting of such products as hardware tools, gardening tools, hardware minerals, light industrial products, chemical products, local products and animal by-products, plant equipments, textile products, clothing, handicrafts, and rubber and plastic products.
